
<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><font size="4" class="">Hello All.</font><div class=""><font size="4" class="">I just returned from a most informative meeting called by the Public Safety Committee pertaining to railway hazards, safety and emergency response. It was attended by Councilman Henry and representatives from CSX, Amtrak, PG Police and Fire Departments, our own Police and Fire Departments and the Town Manager and Clerk. The mayor was also in attendance at the start of the meeting. I want to let you know how well these various departments cooperate and plan together for various possible emergencies. The first responders were interested to learn that there are free trainings available through Amtrak for local municipalities, which is great for the Town budget. I feel very assured to know that our local first responders are always seeking to improve the safety and well being of our community. I am glad I was able to attend this meeting. Being retired has it’s advantages!</font></div><div class=""><font size="4" class=""><br class=""></font></div><div class=""><font size="4" class="">Sheila Smith</font></div><div class=""><font size="4" class="">5001 Riverdale Road</font></div></body></html>
