[RP Town Announce] Upcoming events (July 22, 2005)

Next Monday, July 25, the Town Council will have its monthly work
session at 8pm, Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road.  The purpose of the
work session is to set the agenda for the legislative session the
following week.

After the work session that night, the Town Council will have a
special legislative session.  Special legislative sessions occur when
urgent town business must be dealt with before the regular legislative
meeting.  The two items on the agenda for that meeting are a review of
a new detailed site plan for the Redeemed Christian Church of God at
the corner of 54th Avenue and Riverdale Road, and approving plans for
purchase of new vehicles for public works.

On Wednesday, July 27, at 7 pm, a free concert will be held on the
lawn of the Riversdale Mansion at 4811 Riverdale Road. Guitarist Bruce
Katsu and singer/songwriter Carol Gaylor play a combination of jazz
standards, pop and alternative music. If you like, have a grilled
dinner beforehand.  There is a charge for the dinner.

Upcoming events: Town Council legislative session on August 1 at 8pm,
Communications Committee August 2 at 8pm (unconfirmed), Mixed Use Town
Center Architectural Review committee August 3 at 7:30 pm
