[RP TownTalk] Queensbury Buses

I agree wholeheartedly with Andrew. I think that shifting the bus route
to 410 is a bad idea. It will further slow up traffic on 410, it will
kill the bus route itself because ridership will decrease, it will
require taking someone's property (ie, those whose back or front yard
abuts 410) to make those turnout lanes that everyone thinks is the
magic solution, and it will not reduce traffic through town one drop
(in fact if 410 snarls worse and bus riders abandon the bus because it
isn't as convenient for them, traffic may get worse).

Like it or not Queensbury is the main route through town (410 simply
gets people around our town). Yes, I live on Sheridan St so I don't
have the traffic people on Queensbury do, but I am sympathetic to the
problems you face. If you really want to get rid of the bus line, then
fight for the Purple Line!
