Rob mentioned that the county could override a local resolution on this
development.  That is legally possible -- in this case it would require a
super-majority vote of the county council. (That means 2/3 of the council,
not just a simple majority)  From what Park and Planning has said, it would
be very unusual for the county council to override the local municipality's
desires in this instance.

Earlier, someone on the list mentioned unit size. When asked about the
dimensions of the units for this building, the developer said that the
average unit size is 900 sq.ft. -- they reported that 2 BR units will be
around 1,100 and efficiencies will be no smaller than 610 sq.ft.   Someone
said that the development lacks amenities like a gym or common room. The
plans do offer amenities, in this case a business center. According to the
developer, that is the sort of amenity package condo owners want right now -
basically a place w/ high speed access, photocopier, deliveries etc.
