[RP TownTalk] Riverdale Movie

Ok people can go to the new PG Plaza
movies for shootum up films.  Our Riv.
movie house - since the theme for 
Mt Rainer, Hyatts etc is Art - why not
develop this movie/stage for the arts 
for children.  Based on why arent kids 
interested in Ben Hur, Cleopatra etc
type things - based on kids not liking
history too much, or litereature can
be hard since kids do not read any 
more - we could gear the movie house
towards teaching by movies that would
help kids all ages in these classes. 
Once again, college students in their
specialty fields could help and partici-
pate.  Kids could come by class to the
movie or get extra credit for bringing
the stub & writing a report to turn in
to the teacher.  We could also do 
Hispanic historical movies & Asian
ones in English or easy sub titles.
There is a movie for about every 
good book.  
 
Also since the schools have plays
& stages, the best ones could put
on their plays at the stage of Riv
movie.  Could give Childrens Oscars
& the college kids Producer/Dir. 
Oscars.  The students/kids could
do their own artwork to advertise
& go to the schools to give a talk
on it or whatever the ideas are.
 
They could have dress up plays 
pretending we are going to the
Kennedy Center & dress down
dress for other types movies/plays.
 
Parent participation is a must - 
we need to learn to motivate our
kids to love the arts.  Hands on 
experience teaches best & it is
a way to further develop the already
done school plays - all grade levels.
 
And maybe it might qualify for 
some type of art funding?????
