Hello again neighbors!

Looking for something to do tomorrow with the kids, or with the
relatives that are in town?

Just wanted to let you know about another FREE event at your local
National Historic Landmark- Riversdale

Tomorrow is our 12th Annual "Battle of Bladensburg" Encampment.
British and American troops interpreting the War of 1812 will be
camping on the mansion grounds, showing what like was life for the
soldiers that marched through this area in August, 1814. There will
be live firing demonstrations of muskets and cannon, live music and
dancing, and as an added feature author Janet Mullany will read from
and sign copies of her new Regency romance, The Rules of Gentility, in
the afternoon at 1:30.

Food will be available at a very nominal cost, and includes a variety
of traditional and not so traditional items such as Hot Dogs, Grilled
Vegetable Skewers, Fruit Skewers, Baked Beans, Pickles on a Stick,
Chips/Pretzels, Lemonade, Peach Tea, and Bottled Water.

The event runs from Noon -4:00PM. Again, all events on the grounds
are FREE—but there is a small fee for tours of the historic house.

Hope to see you there!

Riversdale is located at 4811 Riverdale Road, Riverdale Park, Md., 20737
