[RP TownTalk] Grocery stores in the area?

I really appreciate this and the other messages on the small grocery stores in and around our community. I complain loud and often about Giant (it just ain't the store it used to be), and I'm happy to have alternatives.

A butcher shop? For real? I thought I had to drive to the Whole Foods in Silver Spring. I will be coming by. Thank you.

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to let everybody know about a small, local
grocery store just up the street in Bladensburg (4900
Annapolis Rd. - at the intersection of Rt. 450 and
Edmonston Rd.).  Americana Grocery has been in the
D.C. Metro area for over 40 years catering to the
international clientele.

Come on by and check us out.  We have one of the few
old-fashioned butcher shop in the area where you can
get the freshest meats cut and prepared to your
liking, a vast assortment of all kinds of produce
(arriving daily), as well as, your regular groceries
and all at great prices.
