Wanted to add my 2 cents to the talk about the new La
Grande Market (where the old Giant used to be).  I was
very impressed with the produce department; most
varieties of apples were 79 cents a lb., fresh, whole
pineapples were $1.99!  The quality of the produce for
the most part was very good, as were the meats.   It
was a bit "surreal," though, as some of their
merchandise was in the exact same aisles where it had
been kept in Giant - you walk down one aisle and it
looks like it has for years, then walk down another
aisle, and - huh?  They have a great selection of both
Latin-American and U.S.-type goods, frozen, canned,
etc., and their prices seem to be very reasonable, so
I'd invite everyone to stop in and take a look.  (they
accept cash and credit cards although I believe they
DO charge a fee for using a credit card).
