I sent the town staff a copy of the Gerry Kiernan resolution. Here is
the copy of Kate's resolution --- I thought these woudl be helpful to
the town so that we can have minutes from the special legislative
prepared.

Hi Alice,

Here is the language from the second agenda item, Special Leg Mtg, 9/11/07:

I move to waive the competitive bid process and extend the engineering
agreement with GNC, in the amount of $25,000, to continue Phase II of
the street improvement process.

Reasons: to allow us to finish the Phase II by the end of the year,
thus maintaining our unit prices for asphalt and concrete.  Also, in
the original bid process, we only received one other bid, which was
substantially higher than GNC.
