[RP TownTalk] Construction closure on MD 450

Dear friends and neighbors:

The following information is provided from State Highway to help you avoid
travel delays:

Due to construction on the new CSX railroad bridge, The State Highway
Administration (SHA) will conduct road closures of MD 450 (Annapolis Road)
near the Peace Cross in Bladensburg, Prince George's County.  Please be
aware of the dates and times road closures will occur:



·                *24-Hour closure* of all lanes, both directions of 450 :

*                        Beginning:  * *Saturday, April 26, 2008, 9:00 p.m.

                             *Ending*:     Sunday, April 27, 2008, 9:00 p.m.




In addition, there will be overnight weekday work with *possible closures
for a period of three weeks *beginning *Monday, April 28*.  This work is
scheduled Monday through Thursday nights between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. To
avoid delays, motorists are *strongly* encouraged to use alternate routes
and avoid the area.  SHA will use message signs, detour signs, cones and
barrels to guide motorists safely through the work zone detours.



Weather permitting this project should be completed by mid May.



* In the event of inclement weather, the work including the total closure
will be

   rescheduled for the weekend of May 3 and follow the subsequent schedule.
