Tomorrow evening is the quarterly meeting of the Friends of the
Hyattsville Branch Library - Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Maryland Room on the second floor of the Hyattsville Library.

We are very eager to welcome new folks, and especially urge existing
members to attend the quarterly meetings. The Hyattsville Library and
our Library system need community support. The Friends group and their
meetings area great way to participate.

The purpose of the group is to meet quarterly with the branch
librarian and coordinate the allocation of funds raised for the
library through the re-sale of books at Novel Endings, a used book
shop located in the garden level of the Hyattsville Branch Library.

These funds support library activities such as the summer reading
program, "read to a dog" program, chess club and special events; the
organization of the volunteer maintenance of the butterfly garden and
other plantings; and help to support funding for the entire County
library system.

The quarterly meetings last typically about an hour.  We would really
like to see you there!
