I seem to be overly hasty in my responses. Andrew, to address your
second comment/question - I think that other grocery store possibilities
at the EYA development or Cafritz are probably on hold now because of
the economic conditions. Folks have recommended Grande - the
supermarket on Kenilworth - and perhaps another one that I can't recall
at the moment.

Lisa,
I personally like all the updates on restaurants in our area. Chef
Geoff's is a great local chain and I often visit his restaurants in DC
and Bethesda. Thanks to your email now I can plan to go down the street
for the same quality I used have to drive 20 min for. Keep the new
business updates coming!
By the way, I have written to every organic grocery chain I know asking
them to open in our area. Yes! Organic market showed some interest. Do
you know of any grocery stores planning locations here so I don't have
to shop at Giant or drive 5 miles to get to MOM in College Park?

Our town is very small and only has a limited number of businesses. I
certainly can’t do all my consuming in Riverdale Park nor do I want to .

With all due respect, we do send out info to other towns also in the
interest of gaining new patrons and retaining current patrons for our
events. I think the opening of new area businesses is an appropriate
use of this list. I think there may be a point to cutting frequent
messages from our list, though. It's a good question and worth
considering. The question for me is where to draw the line. COC, I
appreciate your thoughts especially since they probably represent many
others also.

It is getting to the point where TownTalk contains almost as many
advertisements for commercial businesses outside of Riverdale Park as
comments from citizens in Riverdale Park .
