[RP TownTalk] how do I get something moved?

I'm adopting 2 dogs (through the local lab rescue). The current owner will
give me their dog houses, but they are WAY too big to fit in my car. Each is
something like 3' x 3' x 4'.  They are both plastic so not all that heavy,
just cumbersome.  
 
The dogs and the houses are 40 miles away, in Manassas.  Renting a u-haul
truck would be about $110 plus gas and whatever taxes and fees.  I would
love for the dogs to have their houses, but that seems like way too much
money.
 
Does anybody have any suggestions for how I could do this?
