Is there a formal dog park in College Park? Where is it?
I'd rather go some place within walking distance, but I can live with a
short drive.

maybe not closer than College Park's but possibly less prone to flooding?

Council Member Will Campos asked that I pass on the following information
regarding an upcoming meeting to discuss plans for a Dog Park in our
District:
Greetings,
I have been approached by several residents of the area who have voiced
their desire to see a dog park created in our area. Working with Park and
Planning staff, and with help from the City of Hyattsville, we have
identified a site and have signed off on the preliminary plans for the park.
The dog park will be located at the corner of Ager Road and Nicholson Street
near the entrance to Heurich Park. The dog park will include two fenced in
areas; one for larger dogs, and another for smaller dogs, a source of water
for dogs and their owners, as well as a small pavilion at the entrance to
house equipment and provide shade.
Please join me on Wednesday, June 11th at 7:00 p.m. in Prangley Room at the
City of Hyattsville's municipal building located at 4310 Gallatin Street for
a meeting to review the plans and facilitate feedback.
In addition, representatives from Park and Planning will be present to
discuss the level of community involvement that will be required to help run
and maintain the dog park.
Please pass on this information to anyone who lives in the area and is
interested in this dog park.
Thanks and have a great day,
Thank you,
Alonzo T. Washington, Community Liaison to
Council Member Will A. Campos
