Dear folks of Riverdale:

Please,

Give me your tired, your poor, your worn out jeans yearning for new life, those wretched worn out refuse ready to be tossed away.  
Send these no longer useful jeans to me.
Drop them outside my front door, and the pockets of the jeans will become art projects for young children at ArtsFest 1, May 3, 2009, Town Center.

We will cut out the back pockets to use as projects at the Children's Pavilion.  The children will decorate the pockets with paint, glitter, beads, etc., to make them into pencil cases, napkin holders, etc.

So, If you would like to put your old jeans to good use, don't throw them away, drop them off at my house and the children will decorate and use them.

We also need the cardboard rolls from paper towels to make into shakeroos, and as always VOLUNTEERS. So don't hesitate, give me your tired, worn out jeans, paper towel rolls, and time and the Children's Pavilion will be a hub of fun and activity like it was last year!

Drop the blue jeans and paper towel rolls off at my front entrance, 4805 Sheridan Street, Riverdale Park. And if you'd like to VOLUNTEER, respond to this post.  You'll be our hero!
