You display courage in having your project critiqued in public!

Negatively framed comments can hurt. Shake them off.
You are undertaking a good thing. Be encouraged.

Hopefully these comments will add to your knowledge, vision and insight, and
help make your art better. However, great art is not designed by committee.
In the end, art can only be the expression of the artist, and not the 
critic.
