[RP TownTalk] Computer Aid need for home PC, and Volunteers needed for ArtsFest2

Hi folks:

Our five year-old PC is having a number of problems--slow downs, freezes,
and jams.  It needs a good look-see and some updates. Because, I am
threatened by a layoff after 15 years with the University (hard times are
happening everywhere:-(:-(:-(  I cannot afford to dump the PC and purchase a
new one.  I no longer have a computer geek to come look at the PC and fix
it.  Do we have any aspiring IT specialists in Town who are willing to come
by, fix/update the PC, and who work at a reasonable rate?  If so, please
contact me personally at maritanovicky at gmail.com, or stop by the Children's
Pavilion at the ArtsFest on Sunday, May 3, 2009 and introduce yourself.

BTW: We still need volunteers--young adults, adults, parents, and
grandparents to help out at the Children's Pavilion and other venues
at ArtsFest 2.  This is a great opportunity to help/influence the children
and folks in our community with a love for art.  Just stop by and we will
put you to work.  Last year, a number of folks just showed up and started
working helping us set up and conduct ArtsFest 1. This is what I love about
living in Riverdale Park; people are willing to help :-):-):-)

Other good news--Gerry King brought me some old, tired out, worn blue jeans
so I now have 14 pockets to have children decorate/make into napkin/pen and
pencil holders.

It will be fun!
