Town Talk

The TownTalk e-mail list is where
the action is and Town-Announce lets
you know about upcoming meetings
and agendas. That’s right, you can
know what is going to be discussed
BEFORE the meeting takes place.
Amazing. The ComTalk list recounts
discussions from the town’s Communications Committee
and is a great place to complain about the Town Crier.
TownTalk lets citizens sound off about local issues and
clue each other in about what’s happening and what
should be happening. ComTalk (with some spillover to TownTalk)
discussed how these E-mail lists might best be used in
election seasons. Should candidates be allowed to use
the lists? Should that use be limited in some way?
Should it be wide open and uncensored? Should a
separate list be created for campaigning? All unsettled
questions.

 
What ever happened to Com Talk? 
The last posting was in 2007. 
 
I think we need to have an ongoing notification in the Town Crier making people aware of the existence of our list serve. With the notification a list of rules for using the list serve could also be published.
