Thanks for all of the information and comments; I'll probably end up switching to digital cable sometime this year anyhow, but I'd received so much different information regarding the "switch", I wanted to be sure I'd be ok until I DO go digital.  It was really interesting that the one person at Comcast said she'd talked to a couple of others in her office about my query and received a couple of different answers - if THEY don't know, it's not very confidence-inspiring, is it?
