If it is time for whining, I'm jumping in...
On July 27, 2005, my late mother, brother and I paid $1.45 million for 6201
and 6205 Natoli Place. We call them The Brick House and The Pink House. In
between is 6203, a VERY SMALL vacant lot which, in good times, can be built
on. We paid $8,500 in taxes to Prince George's County at settlement. Since
then, we have improved the properties physically. We've also added new,
improved tenants. That means, the crack heads were tossed. That is not an
easy process. We have also put about $250,000.00 in cash and sweat equity
into the property.

We are not slumlords but hands-on, property managers. We fix the problems
that we don't even cause. When you dial our numbers, you get US.

Last September we sent the county freak show, dba Prince George's County,
$23,500.00 in property taxes. Remember, that is up from $8,500.00!

We just got our assessment and its up another $5,000.00 to $28,000.00 Golly
Day! I am considering a one-way trip to the Grand Canyon...

There is no way in the world that we can increase our rents, expect our
tenants to pay that sort of increase. WSSC water went up 9% on July.
Insurance is a ball-buster. The Town of Riverdale Park (a name not
recognized by Verizon when calling 411, by the way) has been very supportive
about leaning on PEPCO to install a new, and brighter street light in front
of 6201. Yet, nothing has happened.

We've asked for very little, we've gotten less.

So, we have two openings (August 1) for two 2-bedroom apartments. So I ask
the fine people of Riverdale Park to send me their contacts of other fine
people (code: those who pay their rent on time and don't smoke crack) to me.
(Melissa Avery sent me a wonder clown, Mandy Dalton just last week and we
reached an agreement this afternoon for space in Cheverly. Thanks Melissa,
Mandy is a hoot, and a wonderful person. A great fit for us! We can also
find her a ton of gigs...) (Now that we don't have a clown in the White
House, it's okay to laugh at them again...)
