Del's suggestion for Field of Dreams is
Trash Cans that say "Thank you for recycling"
and have 1 can for recyclables & 1 can for
garbage.  Sit a set by the woods where they
watch the games, maybe a set on the edge
of the parking lot where they eat out their 
cars & a set at the other end of the field.
 
I picked up trash one day when the adults
had arrived to practice - they asked what  i
was doing & I said picking up everybody's 
trash.  I said it would be nice for you all to 
pick up all your trash each time.  The 
neighbors around here do not like looking at
all the trash.  It is a privilege to play here for
free.
 
They said oh we will pick up the trash. And
that group seems to be following through now.
But I do not have time to wait for each group.
 
Maybe the Art Council & the town could have
a contest where kids/adults present pictures of
their artwork for a trash can.  The Art Council &
Town could judge together & the winners would
be given a can to do their "thing" on.  Maybe besides
a trash can - maybe use some of the artists for
signs around town.    
 
Wm Wirt & Riverdale Elementary could be in the
contest so the kids would "get" the message also.
