every now and then one of the whos is heard.  a few times a year we
get a new customer at Mystic Water Soap (at the farmers market) who
says they were stuck in traffic and saw something going on down here
from up on the bridge, and decided to check it out. :-)

Used to be that people on the bus had direct access 7 days a week to visit the farmers' market, the arts festival, etc., or to board the MARC trains; now they have to walk a few blocks out of their way to do so.  And for people with disabilities, the elderly, or people with small children, that's not always convenient.  If it's not as easy for people to get to town center, it's going to make it that much harder for any new businesses to thrive.
