[RP TownTalk] Lawns

I don't know about warning stickers, but one week I let my lawn get a little out of control, and I received a letter from the city informing me that if I didn't mow my lawn, the city would do it for me for the low rate of $200 per hour (or something to that effect).

How does a bank if bank-owned or absentee landlord find out about the citations? I realize owners should know about the rules regarding lawn care but especially for bank-owned properties they might not be visiting properties to see if they have any warning stickers.

The biggest problems with the lawns is the time lag between citation and cutting, not the length of the lawn when the citing begins.

If needed, a lien should be placed on the property to insure the fines are paid. A good chunk of these vacant properties are bank owned and they need to understand their responsibilities. As long as it's cheaper for them to ignore the situation they will.
