 Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region Presents... 
  
  
Backyard Adventures!  
 
Has your family been searching for an adventure? Look no further than your own 
backyard.  There's much to learn and explore in D.C.'s outdoors and Living 
Classrooms wants to help you do just that. Join us for our first ever Backyard 
Adventures event, an Open House full ofFREE activities for kids ages 4-14!
 
Come out to The Historic Schoolhouse at 4954 MacArthur Blvd TOMORROW, Saturday, 
July 24 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and experience all that your backyard has to 
offer. Our Summer Camp Educators and volunteers will show off their stuff as 
they:
 
	* lead hikes* in Battery Kimble Park  
	* introduce you to some curious creatures (Don't miss Big Boa's lunch!)  
	* take you down the creek for a canoe scavenger hunt*    
	* conduct some amazing recycling craft activities AND  
	* teach you the ropes of rock climbing*   

*These events require registration, which will be done on a first come, first 
serve basis
 
There will be lot of fun for everyone, so come in numbers and tell all your 
friends about this awesome event!
