The truth should never be candy coated.
Just because there wasn't an "official"police report does not mean a
citizen of our country did not sustain injuries and hospitalized, nor
should we discount the warnings.
We are all responsible citizens and the truth helps to dispel rumors and fears.

June 15, 2010, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Takoma Park Police
responded to New Hampshire Avenue for a citizen strong arm robbery in
front of the Chevy Chase Bank. Takoma Park Police placed a look-out
for the suspect vehicle used in the armed robbery. Silver Spring
District plainclothes officers observed the suspect vehicle and then
the suspects commit a second robbery in front of them. The Silver
Spring District plainclothes officers apprehended one of the suspects
and the suspect vehicle. The other suspect fled on foot and a foot
chase ensued by Takoma Park Police and Montgomery County Police. A
Maryland State Police helicopter is also involved in the pursuit. The
second suspect is described as a black male with dread locks, last
seen wearing sweat pants and a gray shirt. None of the victims were
seriously injured.
Investigation continues. Anyone with information about these crimes
is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
