I thought it was a code violation to put dead animals in the trash.

Subject: Re: [RP TownTalk] I have a question - dead squirrels

When we found a dead bird in our yard, I called the local health department because I was worried about avian flu. They told me to dispose of the bird by bagging it in a plastic bag and throwing it out with the garbage. I have to think the answer would be the same for a dead squirrel.

That said, I have a recipe for stewed squirrel that I've never tried....

I saw a dead squirrel on the road the other day across from my house.  I didn't run over it. Later that day when I took my dog walking, someone put the squirrel in my yard.  How rude!  If they can pick it up, why couldn't they discard it?  Now that I have to deal with it (certainly can mow over it without being a mess), what is the rule?  Can I just put it in a bag and discard with the regular trash?
