Regarding speed limits...Perhaps we should consider that the speed  limits 
are too low in many places and might be set artificially low in order to  
enhance revenue collection.
 
The irony doesn't escape me when I and the driver in the lane next to me  
slow down to the 35 / 40 / 50mph crawl heading north on Kenilworth when a 
police  car is behind us.  I can tell you as soon as the police have the  
opportunity they often angrily and frustratedly pass with aggressive driving  
maneuvers as they weave around people driving the very speed limit they  
enforce.  Not a good attitude to emulate, but I share the police  frustration at 
how slow the speeds are set on that part of the road.
 
Again, those who sacrifice freedom for safety...
