[RP TownTalk] list policy and role of moderator

Nicholas and others -

To clarify my role as moderator, and TownTalk policy:

TownTalk policy basically covers electioneering (not allowed) and
civility (be nice) - and nothing else.

You may read the policy here:
http://riverdale-park.org/mailman/listinfo/towntalk  (for future
reference, this link is part of the footer that comes with every
TownTalk email)

As moderator, my role is to monitor whether TownTalk communications
are in keeping with the intent and spirit of those policies - nothing
more.

Occasional use of the list to post information about functions or
services that may be of interest to our community - be it yoga class,
a school or organizational fundraiser, self-help group, environmental
volunteer day at the Anacostia, or whatever - I believe is welcome.
If the use of the list by one person or organization becomes excessive
then we'll deal with it at that time.  Thanks.
