Dwight et all-
The Purble line is going to take out the entier side of Kennelworth, which 
includes all the buisnisses and shopping centers,with track, right of way and 
large industrial size cement elevated ramp and retainer wall, were the Riverdale 
post office is. That  probably has something to do with why the riverdale 
location of the Post office is going to be closed.

Was it here on the HOPE list - somewhere in the last 6 months i picked
up from somewhere that the Hyattsville P.O. was on a list of post
offices to close, anticipating continued budget pressure (and
anti-USPS hysteria, but i digress).
The other day at the Riverdale P.O. (on Rt 1) the clerk was saying
that he understood that that post office is also on "the list."

Hopefully this is just fearful thinking, but given the current budget
atmosphere, it'd be hard to rule anything out. Does anyone have any
factual knowledge of the situation and could shed any light on this?
