The County has an ordinance prohibiting signs being posted on utility poles, etc.

Excellent question, Todd. Thanks for asking! They are certainly an eyesore. Tangentially, some of the handwritten signs for "yard sales" make me think that yard sales have become a sideline business rather than a way to occasionally clear out the attic/garage junk - does the town require permits for yard sales as I know Hyattsville does?

I know Riverdale Park is pretty strict about door-to-door sales, but do we have sign ordinances too? I saw this article in the Gazette about Cheverly's efforts:

and then saw those stupid signs advertising people who want to buy my junk cars for 300 bucks. I typically just pull them down when I see them, but get tired of seeing them clutter up the telephone poles and just generally making the community look trashy.
Thanks,
Todd
