Here's another aspect of the proposed Cafritz development to think about:
spending our money in our own county! Does anyone else feel awful about
throwing away potentially tax-revenue-generating dollars in neighboring
counties? I love shopping at Trader Joe's, since there are few stores in
our county that offer wide organic/natural foods selections, but I always
get this sick feeling in my stomach that I'm spending money in Montgomery
County that could easily be kept in our own beautiful Prince George's
County! I could understand the outrage if a KMART was being built, but
haven't many articles been written about Prince George's County residents
being upset about having to go out of county to do their shopping? I also
think the posters opposed to this development sound an awful lot like
NIMBY-ers masking their true opinions as a love for parks and green space.
