As some might not realize, I mentioned this last year-
there is a handicapped accessible pool just around the corner from Riverdale Park. It is the Linston Pool on Paint branch parkway!
You don't have to drive 5 miles away and your kids can get there by bike. They also have kids camps in the summer, swimming lessons and adult exerciser classes. 
It is open to the public as well, not a privet or exclusive club.

I know many town residents like "The Cool Pool " in Mount Rainier, but if you want to look at other options, we've been very happy with the Adelphi Pool. Membership information is below.

deadline is May 10 this year.

Once again this year we will be offering a $200 “try
before you buy” toddler family membership from opening day through the
month of June only.  Forward that on to families with young children who can
test to see if the pool fits into their lives…..we know that 80% of the
folks that have purchased this June toddler membership have joined the pool for
the rest of the summer!
