Test your paddling skills on a new course on the Anacostia River this October! Anacostia
Watershed Society is proud to announce the first annual Anacostia River Paddle Race
& Festival. Join us Saturday, October 6 at The Yards Park for all the action.

Date: Saturday, October 6, 2012

Time: 12:00-5:00 pm

Location: The Yards Park, 300 Water Street SE, Washington, DC

The 11-mile out-and-back course from The Yards Park to Bladensburg will take paddlers
past urban sites like Nationals Park, Navy Yard, the US Capitol, and RFK Stadium
 and natural vistas like the National Arboretum and Kenilworth Marsh. Prizes available
in canoe and kayak classes, with age group awards (TBD). Recreational paddlers are
invited to try their hand at racing on a shorter 7-mile course. Wounded warriors
