[RP TownTalk] Town Center Market

Sue did not want to talk about service at Giant, but I have decided I have had enough with them.  In March they ran a coupon in their flyer, like they do every year before Easter and Passover.  Every other year, since the store opened across from PG Plaza, the local store has made good on their coupon for a free product that our store does not normally carry.  This year the new manager not only refused to honor the coupon, he was very rude about it.  I have been phoning the customer service number and talking to different representatives since it happened.  To this date the district manager has not managed to contact me.  Last week I mentioned to the customer representative that I had not told my friends, relatives, neighbors, or the community lists about this ongoing issue, but that I was fed up with Giant.  I had asked for the merchandise and an apology.  Well, it is now June.  Formerly, I shopped at that Giant sometimes four or five times a
week.  Except in dire emergencies, I have refused to go back. I will support local businesses over the international corporate bullies who refuse to honor their own marketing and whose managers have no concept of customer service.  What makes me sad for Giant are the number of neighbors among other employees who we have dealt with for years and who have always provided very good service.  The new Town Center Market is lovely and the service is wonderful.  We are happy to shop in downtown Riverdale Park.

I completely agree; I've gotten great service and in this day and age when customer service seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur (I won't tell you about my last experience at Giant!!), Town Center Market is a breath of fresh air.  I'm glad you made the note "if the items sells, they try to keep it in stock."  They ARE running a business and I hope everybody realizes that if just one person buys a certain item and buys it only very occasionally, it wouldn't really be worth their while to keep it on order all the time.  But yes, they're definitely listening to what their customers are saying and I love it.

Great Note Sarah, I too have asked for things and the team has gotten them.
If it sells, they try to keep it in stock, and it sure is convenient.
GOOD Customer service is part of their mantra, and you can't get
customer service everywhere any more, let alone GOOD customer service.
