Calling All Weed Warriors!
Invasive plants take over habitat that native plants and animals need. But removing
them is intense work that requires teamwork across political and ecological boundaries.
Join the DC Environmental Network on Thursday, June 7 for a public meeting of the
brand-new DC Cooperative Weed Management Area, a partnership of organizations (including
AWS!), agencies, and landowners active in invasive plants management efforts in 
the District. Learn about the invasive plant management plan, habitat restoration,
wildlife conservation, environmental education, green jobs, and workforce development.
All are welcome, and additional organizations are invited to join the DC-CWMA.
