I totally agree; and speaking as a full time pedestrian, I can say that trying to cross any of these busy intersections is no picnic, either, esp. at rush hour.  And friends and neighbors, it's only gonna get worse.

Hey Andrew et al, Those of us who live on Queensbury between Rt. 1 and Queens Chapel don't mind our neighbors using that cut through.  For the rest of the world though, including large trucks, even tractor-trailors sometimes, we really hate them preventing us from getting into or out of our driveways, let alone just driving on our street.  Since the development around the Metro, it has been worse, with regular daily backups of solid traffic of three blocks or more.We also share the pain of the Route 1 and Queensbury intersection.  Traffic consultants hired by Hyattsville presented some suggestions for fixes for both problems, but many of us thought they were absurd and worse than the problems.  We all hope someone can come up with viable and positive solutions.
