Residents Urged to Register for County Emergency Notification System
NotifyMe Prince George's is designed to help minimize disasters like
last year's EF5 tornado in Joplin, Mo.

With this week marking the one year anniversary of the devastating
EF-5 tornado that ripped through Joplin, Mo, killing 161 people,
Prince George’s County officials are encouraging residents to sign up
the county’s emergency notification system.

The Office of Emergency Management will send text messages, email
alerts, and pages to any and all registered devices in the event of an
emergency via the county’s Community Notification System, NotifyMe
Prince George’s.
