Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management opens shelters for
Hurricane Sandy.
Shelters are opened at the following locations:
• Charles H. Flowers High School, 10001 Ardwick Ardmore Road, Springdale, MD
• Gwynn Park High School, 13800 Brandywine Rd, Brandywine, MD
• University of Maryland, Ritchie Coliseum, 7950 Baltimore Avenue, College
Park, MD
Additional shelters will open throughout the County based on the level of
damage from the storm.
Residents are encouraged to utilize Notify Me Prince George's to receive
updates regarding the hurricane. Citizens can register by logging into
https://notifyme.princegeorgescountymd.gov or by texting 411912 to receive
real-time notifications via registered mobile devices.
Residents are advised to check the County website for shelter updates or
contact the new 3-1-1 Call Center for non-emergency situations. 3-1-1 will
be open from 7:00 a.m. to Midnight, today, Monday, October 29th.
