[RP TownTalk] Update from Pepco

Effective immediately, Pepco employees, are currently in "Storm
Preparedness" mode for the imminent arrival of Hurricane Sandy, which will
affect the entire Pepco service territory. This emergency status will most
likely be in affect through 11/4/12 (or longer if necessary). 

 

Should you come across any kind of downed wires, your best safety measure is
to ALWAYS consider them energized. If you're not sure the downed wire(s)
belong to Pepco, or if they are communication wires....treat them as
belonging to Pepco and stay away. Call our emergency line 1-800-737-2662 and
report the downed wires. Let a professional determine whom the wires belong
to. Also, please may sure your children know not to get close to any kind of
downed wires.
