Well, my husband Del writes books & publications,
]. and it goes like this for him - if it is published
by a regular publisher, then his works & the book
contents belong to the publisher.  If Del wants to
repeat part of the book in another publication, he
must ask the publishers permission to do so.  Del
does not like this & it causes a lot of frustration 
especially when the publisher says NO.  If he  
gets Kinko to run off the book for him, then he is
free to give it away or sell it or whatever he wants.
as I understand it.
