Before our busy spring season begins, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank
 each and every one of you for your generous support this past year. Whether you
 donated your time, energy, money, or canoe -- you helped make a significant impact
in the improvement of the Anacostia River and its watershed communities.
With your support, we
- restored acres of native meadow and wetland habitat in the watershed, making the
river cleaner and greener than ever while also providing a home for wildlife.
- offered increased access and opportunities to recreate on the river -- our popular
Paddle Nights have been a hit!
- removed more than 42 tons of trash and debris from the river and its tributaries.
- provided thousands of youth with meaningful educational opportunities on the river
-- connecting them to the outdoors and encouraging their future stewardship of the
environment.
- successfully advocated for a rebate program in Prince George's County -- giving
residents the opportunity to install rain gardens and other projects aimed at reducing
stormwater pollution.
