Chris. Full plan is to amentrout. This section is only to franklins. The obvious issue is the connection between state highways and the trail along the road. Most of the old right of way is in the road layout. Give a call to Eileen nivara at MNCPPC about it. She has the answers.

I keep hearing conflicting reports as to whether the County's project will take the trail to its logical conclusion with a connection to the Anacostia Trails network. -- Chris

It has been a long time in coming, but this important bike and walking path will provide a much needed connection between Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and eventually College Park as well as destinations north and south. The first section to be constructed will directly connect the EYA Arts District to Franklin's Restaurant and destinations south as well as to Riverdale Park and its historic town center. After this section is complete, work will begin on the trail north of Queensbury Rd. in Riverdale Park. The third section, between Riverdale Park and College Park, will be completed during the construction of the Cafritz project.
