We will give the politician involved a break here and assume some miss 
guided IT underling did this without "adult supervision" -- but really!

The other day I got an email at lking@ about a PG County tax initiate. I 
didn't think much about it because congress wrote 'political messages' 
(politicians) out of the CAN-SPAM Act.

However, today when I checked the spam folder for my domain I found 5 
more copies, all addressed to nonexistent mailboxes: Its called a 
directory attack if this were spam, sales@, admin@ and support@ all got 
copies. And just to be sure I got a copy lking@, kingl@ and l.king@ ALL 
got copies.

With all these copies I took a look. I got a chuckle from the "Vote for 
(me) for Council in District 6..."  Everyone here of course knows we are 
in District 3.  We can't all be perfect I guess.
