Thanks for the heads-up, that's WAY too close for comfort to where I live .  Agreed, if anyone sees ANYTHING or anyone suspicious, people loitering, hanging out in cars, etc., please let the police know about it, and as soon as possible (not several hours after the fact, etc).  Again, thanks for letting us know.

And please, folks, if you see or hear anything suspicious, please call the police ASAP - the direct line to our police department is 301-927-4343, but you can get a county level dispatcher at 911 who can route the call to our police department. Don't worry about needlessly upsetting innocent people. The police are trained to assess these situations and they can make the determination as to the appropriate interventions. Without information, the police don't have a chance to assess and decide how to intervene. 
I heard some weird banging noises during that time period, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from, and decided it must be construction. I wish I'd looked a little harder to figure it out. :-(
