 Because of people like you, it was an absolutely amazing day for the Anacostia 
River.
Thousands of Anacostia River Heroes covered the shores, clearing out tons of trash
and debris. We can't wait to finish tallying the totals, and in the meantime we

None of this would be possible without you!
Our volunteers had a super good time at the Celebration! The dulcet tones of Tage
on Steel echoed across Bladensburg Waterfront Park, making the Anacostia River seem
to sparkle despite the clouds.  Batala Washington stirred up the crowd with their
precision drumming and choreography.  And the food prepared by the Seafarer's Yacht
Club was the perfect way to thank the volunteers.
Plus, we had some real-life superheroes to honor!  Local environmental leaders awarded
Super Hero capes to a few of the remarkable people who have been working tirelessly
towards a swimmable fishable Anacostia River.
