Not to quibble but the hotel is not a sure thing. The applicant requires a special exception to the zoning for a hotel use. We have been adamant that we would only support that use if the hotel was of significantly high enough design to be complimentary to the site. We have yet to see a proposal of that vision. That being said, if they do include an architectural design that has a boutique feel as well as a green roof and other forward thinking design elements we would likely be persuaded to support the exception. If we are presented with just a box and/or lower end hotel design we would likely oppose the exception. The devil is in the details and as of today this article is the only information we have received on what could potentially go in.  

That being said the applicant continue use to make small improvements to the overall design that are not required but certainly make the end overall project better. We expect the hotel proffer to be of commensurate quality and design that it will make our decision to support less of an issue.
