[RP TownTalk] Saturday - Plant Trees, Garden, Earn Service Learning Hours, Get Some Fresh Air

Neighbors, students, everyone,Join volunteers this Saturday, October 17 at 8 a.m. at Hyattsville Middle School (6001 42nd Ave.) or Hyattsville Elementary (5311 43rd Ave.) as they plant 15 trees, prepare gardens for winter, and clean up the neighborhood. Bring gloves, a shovel, and the family. This event can go toward your student's Service Learning Hours requirement. And, students/families from any PGCPS school are welcome. Service Learning Hours forms will be on hand at the event. The event is likely to run until 11 a.m. This event is cosponsored by the Hyattsville Middle PTSO and Hyattsville Elementary PTA. Obviously, with 15 trees to plant, we could use some adult assistance. If you arrive at HMS late and don't at first see anyone, check the playing fields.
