Greetings, everyone.

Washington Rowing is hosting free *Junior Try-It* clinics the next two
Sunday afternoons. The sessions are an introduction for first-time rowers.
All middle and high school-aged students are welcome to come try out this
healthy and exciting sport.

After completing the clinics, students can join the Washington Juniors for
their fall season of rowing. All rowers will learn in small (single
sculling) and large (8s and 4s) boats. Practices will be Saturday and
Sunday afternoons (2-4:30) and Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5:30 - 7:30
p.m.). Rowers can register for weekends-only or all four outings each week.

*Washington Rowing School* <http://www.washingtonrowingschool.com/> is a
small club with rowers of all ages, lots of great equipment, and the best
coaches. We row on the calmest rowing water in the Baltimore/Washington
area. The *WRS Junior Crew* is a club program (not affiliated with any
school), composed of students from the District, Montgomery County and
Prince George’s County. Our mission is to make rowing *fun and challenging* as
appropriate to each student’s age and skill level.

Absolutely no experience is necessary and kids can advance through the
program as their skills build and time permits. We row year round in big
and small boats and train off-water in the winter and on bad weather days.
That gives students plenty of exposure to rowing's many facetsmany options
the sport has to offer.

Try-It under Learn to Row and find Novice and Varsity (experienced) seasons
under Programs.
