Dear Friends and Town OfficersI want to join your voices with a deep THANKS to our fire department for their heroic work.I'm glad everyone was safe.  I really want to respond to the material needs of the displaced families who lost their belongings in the fire..
If anyone has contact with the families affected, could you post some of the needs (including specifics, like  the size clothing and gender) so we can respond?  I know that I have lots of household goods that are 'extra', (plates, dishes, etc) but I want to make sure I only give those things that would actually be helpful.
I wondered if the Town would be willing to accept the donations on behalf of the families so there is a central pickup and drop-off point?If that's not workable, I'd love to hear other suggestions. 
This is a great chance for us to be a community and respond to our neighbors in a difficult time..Take careKathy
