Sarah,
For ants, I use Borax, one box does the entire perimeter of my house,
and pavement ants decide to move on. Yes, straight out of the box,
biodegradable, and non damaging to plant life or animals even if they
ingest a little.

For the flying bugs and spiders I do not have any good suggestions.
Spiders do like to dine on flying bugs so....
